The front-end logic of product design is simply a sentence, to whom, in what form, and what kind of information to convey. The most powerful tool for general Internet applications is visualization, such as the simple data dashboard of your company, and phone number list the complex such as the page of a blockchain trading website.
Visualization, as the name suggests, mainly aims to convey information clearly and effectively by means of graphical means. There are three key words here, one is graphic, one is clear, and one is effective. These three also constitute the standard for judging phone number list the quality of "visualization".
1. What mistakes do practitioners often make in product design today?
There are three main aspects.
First, with the development of the Internet, many new companies, industry newcomers, and even mature product managers are still making old mistakes.
Here are two screenshots of the QQ Music mac client. It can be seen that when the video menu is not loaded with content, there is a default loading animation; but when the music gallery menu is not loaded with content, it is blank.
This is a very "classical" question of consistency.
Here are two screenshots with Apple 's top menu bar . If I hadn't told you, you wouldn't have seen any difference between the two pictures.
In fact, in a dark corner, there is a black button; after clicking this button, Adobe Creative Cloud will pop up. This is a matter of visibility in visualization.
After entering the website of NetEase Cloud Music, there is a music bar below. But after I clicked play for a long time, there is still no music. I don't know why there's no music, I don't know what music it's going to play for me (without showing any information about the districts), it's all uncertain. But I'm pretty sure it's not my network problem as I successfully downloaded its client. This is a "wrong suggestion" that goes against the user's mental model. Because the mental model of a normal person is that when I see loading, there will be loaded content next; no one will think that when I see loading, the system should keep loading forever.
The second is that commercial companies give too little consideration to vulnerable groups, causing some vulnerable groups to be harmed; but even if these people are harmed, commercial companies will not care too much because they are not "main users".
Take an example that bothers me a lot.
A few days ago, I wanted to publish an article on the Everyone is a product manager platform, and suddenly found that this platform supports importing articles from Jianshu, so I wanted to try this function. After logging in to Jianshu, I directly clicked "Post an article"; when I created a new article, I received this prompt:
After some inspection, I found that my Jianshu account had been hacked, and a lot of fraudulent advertisements were posted (not shown in the picture). So according to the requirements of Jianshu, I sent an email to help@jianshu.com:
This is a very common case of account hacking, but the lack of logic in Jianshu's handling is very annoying, and at the same time, I feel deeply helpless.
My Jianshu account was hacked due to their security issues, and a lot of spam articles were "published" without my knowledge . I sent an email to Jianshu for help, but Jianshu asked me to handle it myself.
Originally, I was the person whose rights and interests were violated, and I had to bear the consequences of my rights and interests being violated. If I don't handle it myself, Jianshu will not care (you can see that Jianshu did not reply to my email for a week in between). If I want to use Jianshu's services, I have to accept Jianshu's fault. Just like if I want to use WeChat's services, I have to bear the risk of my personal privacy being leaked to Weishi. Is this fair?
And the most disgusting thing is that the articles in the Jianshu Recycle Bin cannot be deleted with one click. I have to delete them one by one, as if my time is extremely worthless, and their time is gold.
In the relationship between the platform and the user, in most cases, the user is in a weak position (for toC products, this weakness is more obvious): either the user is threatened by the platform because he is unwilling to give up his interpersonal relationship, such as the time of WeChat a few days ago. ; Or users are reluctant to give up the platform because of certain interests, such as I was rewarded by someone on my Jianshu account, Meituan riders were unwilling to give up Meituan’s salary, Didi drivers pay a large proportion of fares and Buying a Didi-provided car instead of a salary, etc.
Such prejudice and harm, intentional or unintentional, exist in every corner of Internet products. Take this example again:
